Rhode Island Lighthouse Cruise 1466

Lighthouses are an essential part of our American culture, reminding us that our nation was built on maritime commerce. They stand as symbols of altruism, strength, hope, faith and guidance. And today, in the age of automation, they also stand as memorials to the lighthouse keepers and their families who once devoted themselves to "keeping a good light" in service to mariners. This 90 minute cruise showcases some of Rhode Island's most beautiful lighthouses. The captain will take you throughout Naragansett Bay bringing you close to these historic landmarks. Lunch will be at the Quonset Officer's Club, consisting of mixed greens salad with Italian dressing and a choice of: New England baked Scrod or Pan-Seared Chicken cutlet, Garlic Mashed Redskin potatoes, Green Bean Almondine, Strawberry Shortcake, coffee and tea. Then shopping at historic Wickford Village. Nestled along the waterfront of Wickford Harbor, the village offers a taste of New England as it was a century or more ago. Watch the boats, enjoy a snack at an outdoor cafe, browse through the shops or even feed the ducks. Trip includes motor coach transportation, escort, admission to catamaran cruise and lunch.
