Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown, NY 1429

On July 21, the eyes of the baseball world will once again focus on Cooperstown for baseball's most exciting moment for the National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. On June 12, 1939, the museum opened its doors for the first time, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the mythical "first game" that allegedly was played in Cooperstown on June 12, 1839. The first four classes of Hall of Fame electees were honored on that day in 1939. Since that day, the National Baseball Hall of Fame has stood as the definitive repository of the games treasures and as a symbol of the most profound individual honor bestowed on an athlete. Located on Main Street, in the heart of picturesque Cooperstown, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is one of the country's most popular destinations and is surely the best known sports shrine in the world. It is every fan's "Field of Dreams" with its stories, legends and magic to be passed on from generation to generation. You will have leisure time to shop and lunch. Trip includes motor coach transportation, escort, admission to the Baseball Hall of Fame, and induction ceremony at the Clark Sports Center. You are welcome to bring chairs and coolers.
