Korea: The Forgotten War? 1203

Is Korea really the forgotten war? Let's remember it together! The invasion by North Korea at 2:00 a.m.; the South's withdrawal to the Pusan perimeter; the North's invasion at Inchon; the Chinese intervention, followed by the involvement of the U. S. forces; and the see-saw fighting up until the cease-fire of July 27, 1953. Guest speakers will share their first hand accounts of servicing in this war; the first war the United States did not win. James Shelmerdine is a retired U. S. Army Lieutenant Colonel of the Infantry who served in Korea as an enlisted man and as officer during the Vietnam and Desert Storms Wars. He is a serious student of military history.
