Explore some of the "forgotten" gems of the Massachusetts Berkshires. The Berkshire Botanical Garden - called a "glistening community gem" emcompasses 15 acres of cultivated land. The gardens, both functional and ornamental, are among the oldest in the United States. Enjoy lunch at Michael's Restaurant. In 1980, the Stockbridge Inn building was purchased and completely renovated inside and out and then renamed Michael's. Menu choices: Turkey and Jack Cheese wrap, Tuna and Tomato wrap, Ham and Cheese Wrap, Grilled Chicken Wrap, and Veggie Wrap - all choices come with pickle, chips, tea or soda. Spend some time touring Chesterwood, the country home, studio and gardens of Daniel Chester French who is America's foremost sculptor of monuments, Some of his works include Minute Man and Abraham Lincoln for the Lincoln Memorial. In his studio you will see plaster sketches of some of his pieces. Trip includes motor coach transportation, tour director and lunch.
