Spend the day in Brooklyn, NY! Our first stop of the day is the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Built in 1895, the museum had plans to be the largest art museum in the world. At 560,000 square feet, it is currenty the third largest museum in the New York City area. The Brooklyn Museum exhibits collections of Egyptian, African and American art, in addition to 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th century paintings. After the museum, we will head over o the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, It was founded in 1910. The 52-acre garden contains a large number of speciality "gardens within the Garden," plant collection, and the Steinhardt Conservatory which house the C.V. Starr Bonsai Museum, three climate-themed plant pavilions, a glass aquatic plant house, and an art gallery. After our intriguing visit to the Gardens, lunch will be at the well-loved Brooklyn classic, Junior's Restaurant which has consistently been awarded the prize for the best cheesecake in New York City. Trip includes motorcoach transportation, tour director, admission to museum, Botanical Gardens and lunch.
