About LifeLearn

Welcome to our Fall 2019 Semester!

We are excited to welcome new and returning community members to our LifeLearn program. Continuing Education in West Hartford believes that lifelong learning contributes to personal fulfillment and positive community engagement. Our LifeLearn program offers a wide variety of educational opportunities for residents and neighboring community members at every stage of life:

  • Adult Education academic offerings range from Citizenship and English language instruction to high school diploma preparation classes such as General Education Development (GED) and the National External Diploma Program (NEDP). These classes serve West Hartford residents seeking a high school diploma, improved basic academic skills, or strengthened English speaking skills.
  • Adult Enrichment opportunities are now available through West Hartford Leisure Services and Farmington Continuing Education. To learn more about enrichment classes go to www.westhartfordct.gov/gov/departments/leisure. To learn more about enrichment trips and tours, go to Farmington Continuing Education or phone 860 404-0290 x7070.
  • For pre-K – grade 12 students, summer learning and year-round enrichment options are available to keep them mentally and physically active. To explore year-round enrichment opportunities, go to www.westhartfordct.gov/gov/departments/leisure. Upcoming summer middle and high school credit and non-credit offerings will be available by February 2020 at pre-K-12 programs.

As we seek to build a community of engaged lifelong learners, we encourage you to take advantage of these learning opportunities.

Best,
Nancy Hoffman
Adult Education Coordinator
