Internet - Introduction

Learn to navigate and explore the world wide web. You will gain an understanding of how the internet works by perusing several web sites to learn how "hits" are organized and how to refine subject searches using a search engine. Security issues of online banking and paying by credit card along with malicious viruses will be explained with illustrations. Students who want to know how to buy an airline ticket and the best sites to look, or how to find the best rate for a hotel and book it will find this class informative. Basic computer skills are required.
