Course Offerings

Winter/Spring 2010

Welcome to a New Year!
The winter holiday rush has ended, the kids are back to school; now is a good time to sit back and plan some opportunities for new learning and new  experiences through the many offerings that West Hartford LifeLearn provides. We've made it easy for you to go from inspiration to registration through our on-line website at whlifelearn.org, so there's one less obstacle between the you sitting at home and the you out learning, improving, and enjoying yourself. Please read through the class and trip descriptions, and then join your neighbors and other continuing education enthusiasts from more than forty towns in the greater Hartford area who regularly take advantage of our classes, trips, and other activities.

Although most of our classes begin as the snow melts, you can take a very wide range of courses right now through out on-line course partnership at ed2go.com/whce. The instructor facilitated courses listed on pages C44 and C45 are only a fraction of the hundreds available, including many technical fields that can help in career development. These courses are reasonably priced and cost you nothing in gas or travel time. Moreover, you pick the start date.

Our Adult Education program offers classes starting up soon that address needs in English language learning, citizenship, basic academic skills and high school completion (pages C2 - C4). In addition, Capital Community College offers a program of college readiness classes that can be free of charge to qualifying adult education students. See the CCC program description on page C-40.

While our website allows you to browse course offerings and to register at your convenience, our staff would be happy to assist you with course selection and registration either in person in Room 130 of Town Hall or at 860 561-6900. You can also fax us at 860 561-6907.
